Reader’s Question:

I was applying for car insurance and I personally went to the office of the car insurance company here in California that I picked and then after answering a lot of questions they considered me as a high risk driver. How can they tell and how can I be considered as high risk driver if I never had an accident only simple traffic violation?

High risk car insurance companies can immediately tell if the driver is a high risk driver or not especially high risk car insurance companies in California. Once you have applied for car insurance, immediately they prepare questions that they will ask you. Upon answering their question and evaluating your driving record they can decide whether you are a high risk driver or not. Many people usually think that when they receive speeding tickets or convicted of a simple traffic regulation they are not classified as high risk drivers. Simple traffic violations can still raise a red flag upon your record and insurance. Another thing that could evaluate you as a high risk driver is when you had an accident even if it wasn’t your fault.

High risk car insurance companies also evaluate you with your personal profile whether you are a man or a woman. It maybe stereotype but it is true that men are most likely to be reckless. Also teenagers are considered to be reckless since they are too excited to drive for the first time. High risk car insurance companies usually put people in the city to be on the “high risk drivers” category, for city people are always on a rush. Those drivers who were not able to maintain car insurance coverage in the past are also considered high risk by high risk car insurance companies.
